Adventure in Blue and Gold

This was done with watercolor and wax crayon. The crayon acts as a resist and helps keep the distinct areas from blurring into each other except where I deliberately go beyond the line.

We made the arduous climb to the top of Saddle Mountain and found ourselves in the middle of a cloud. All we could see beyond the railing was white fog. At least there were lots of wildflowers on the way up.
